Welcome from the President

As you wander through our web site you will find many activities that the women of the Rossmoor Woman’s Club support throughout the year.  Since 1958 our members have been helping our local communities, schools and organizations with our annual Holiday Home Tour in December and our annual Garden Tour in May.

When you visit these sites you will find that the funds we raise provide scholarships to the students of Los Alamitos and Laurel High Schools.

We also provide support to We Care, Casa, UCI Hospital Neo-Natal Center, Long Beach Veterans Hospital, Los Alamitos Museum and the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library.  Our newest section, First Connection, works diligently to support our troops by writing letters of encouragement and providing support for their families throughout the year.

This year, as in years past, our goal is to continue to work against Domestic Violence by getting the word out to the community and by our ongoing support of Interval House and Pathways to Independence.

Enjoy your visit to the Rossmoor Woman’s Club web site and let us know if these activities and the work we do to better serve our community are something that will fit into your life.

March's Message

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh, what memories. The wearing o’ the green, getting pinched because they did not
know it was your underwear! Wow, those were the days!!

Oh My Gosh - another way we can all “go green”. March is Women’s History Month and
GFWC has planned many activities, of course you need to live on the East coast.

Check with your local library and see if there are books on Women’s
History, there may be related activities in the area, or you can look
into your personal history. So much to do and so little time!!

You still have time to write letters to our service men and women
in Afghanistan, then deliver them to our local library by March 13. You know
how much they love hearing from home, no matter who writes to them.

A letter, like a book, is a gift you can open again and again.
