Welcome from the President

As you wander through our web site you will find many activities that the women of the Rossmoor Woman’s Club support throughout the year.  Since 1958 our members have been helping our local communities, schools and organizations with our annual Holiday Home Tour in December and our annual Garden Tour in May.

When you visit these sites you will find that the funds we raise provide scholarships to the students of Los Alamitos and Laurel High Schools.

We also provide support to We Care, Casa, UCI Hospital Neo-Natal Center, Long Beach Veterans Hospital, Los Alamitos Museum and the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Library.  Our newest section, First Connection, works diligently to support our troops by writing letters of encouragement and providing support for their families throughout the year.

This year, as in years past, our goal is to continue to work against Domestic Violence by getting the word out to the community and by our ongoing support of Interval House and Pathways to Independence.

Enjoy your visit to the Rossmoor Woman’s Club web site and let us know if these activities and the work we do to better serve our community are something that will fit into your life.

September's Message

Welcome Back!

Here we are ready to start again, and we haven’t had what I would call a miserable,
hot summer day. Sure, the grey has hung around a bit too long but who among us
would trade these last 2 months for 90+ degrees?

I was having so much fun I almost forgot about all the business that must be taken care of this month.

The District’s annual Summer Conference was this week. We had seven members in attendance,
and I am proud to say that three of us made presentations.

Kudos to Nanette and Edette who are partnering on Education Community Service Program. I gave two
presentations – one on Membership and the other on Public Issues Community Service. It was a full day for us all and was followed with lunch at Bob’s Big Boy in Anaheim. Yum, Yum!!!

I have added three new hats to my “wardrobe." Orange District has called and I have answered,
so I will be District Second Vice President/Membership, Public Issues—Partnerships Chairman and District Convention Co-Chair.  Keep this in mind so that when you see me getting faint at General Meetings you will know why!!

Remember, “Every gift from a friend is a wish for your happiness."
