| Welcome to a Happy New RWC Year
Summer’s over, and we are ready to roll out another great new RWC year. However, before we look forward, we ought to take a glance back at some of the things that were accomplished during the summer when the club was officially recessed. During July and August, the wonderful women of the RWC were not idle.

Potpourri collected a record amount of money during the year (2010-2011) and gave the proceeds to the Joint Forces Base and to the VA. First Connection had a pretend Baby Shower for Precious Life Shelter. Our Board of Directors awarded money from our excess funds to Laurel High School so they could purchase a kiln for their arts department. Bus passes were delivered to the JFB and to Bethune School during the summer.
We sponsored tee-shirts for Los Al Grad Night, and some of our members painted scenery for the Grad Night event. The Orange District Summer Workshop was held in August and six of our members attended. I’m sure there were other things I’ve missed, but you get the idea—we’ve been busy!
So now we begin our year with a good head start. This year we will take on new projects and continue with existing ones; we will make new friends and strengthen old friendships. This year we will blaze new ground and soar to new heights; we will blow our horn and make the world take notice. With wings we can soar, are you ready? Hold on members, here we GO!
